First released in November 2013, this is the 15th ‘chapter’ in The English Whisky Company’s history and the heavily peated sister of chapter 14. Chapters are limited runs of special whiskies produced from different malts and matured in unique oak casks.
Distilled in 2010 and bottled at 46% abv in September 2015, non chill-filtered, natural colour.
“Rather nice indeed”
Nose : Drying embers of wood fire. Light fruits, think citrus. Lemongrass and roasted lemons. A subtle hint of black cardamon.
Palate : Again very fruity, lemongrass and citrus. Chilli spice. Slightly burnt toasted marshmallows. Oily and sweet with a long, oaky dry finish.
