Ben Nevis McDonald’s Traditional Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Peated expression of the distillery in Fort William. This is an updated version of the previous release, which sought to recreate the Mcdonalds Traditional Malt, a popular dram during the late 1800’s.
Nose: Hot, warming spices cinnamon and black pepper. Chargrilled beef burger with sweet sherry, new make, ash and smoke. Seville orange peel.
Palate: Surprisingly soft with a very oily mouthfeel. Oak, ash, barely sugars, porridge and pine needles with wonderfully sweet sherry.
Finish: Very oily, more sweet sherry notes, ash and smoke envelopes the mouth.
