An Edradour Small Batch bottling, Bordeaux Cask Finish, aged 17 years.
Distilled in 1999, the spirit was initially matured in ex Boubon hogsheads for over 13 years, before being re-casked into freshly dumped Premier Cru Bordeaux hogsheads, for a further period of 42 months maturation. This bottling is from 3 of the 25 Bordeaux hogsheads filled in July 2013.
Cask No’s: 812, 822 & 823. Outturn 913 Bottles.
Bottled at natural cask strength. Unchillfiltered.
Nose : Soft fragrant blackberries, almonds and a hint of coffee
Palate : Reveals delicate tannins of the wine, red berries and gentle ash from the original toasting of the cask
Finish : Slightly dry, but warming and long, with blackberries, almonds and a hint of milk chocolate and vanilla
