Nose: Toffee and plum sweetness is softly swathed in vanilla & sumptuous malt.
Palate: Lush sweet malt, plums & prunes as one with summer fruits vanilla & toffee.
Finish: Abundantly Porty sweetness yields to a spicy finish.
This process of “finishing” bestows on the whisky refined characteristics, most notably, tones of fruity Port sweetness. Our Master Distiller deemed that the time was right to bottle the whisky at 17 years of age when the malt whisky flavour notes had reached harmony with the sweet attributes of the Portwood. The result is an “exquisite” and beautifully crafted Glencadam Highland Single Malt expression. “the nose is intensive toffee and is enveloped with a fine plum sweetness…creamy vanilla and magnificent malt, on the palate lush sweet malt, again plums and prunes, ice cream with summer fruit, vanilla and toffee, full-bodied finish with plenty of Port Wine sweetness and a spicy aftertaste” 46% abv, no colouring, no chill-filtration.
