Vinho is aged in slow grown white oak which is air seasoned for two years. After soaking with some of the World’s best wines the casks are hand crafted with a specially developed toasting and charring process in the distillery’s own cooperage to bring out the flavours.

Colour : Deep autumn gold..
Nose : A rich fusion of vanilla and caramelized sugars. Ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst.
Palate : The taste ends with clean and complex flavours embodying all that is best in the finest malt whiskies and a long aftertaste.
Kavalan Solist “Vhino” has beaten off competition from around the globe to be named the best single malt at the 2015 World Whiskies Awards.
It was named New Whisky of the year in The Whisky Bible in 2012, won a gold award at the Beverage Tasting Institute in the same year and was included in Ian Buxton’s 2010 book ‘101 Whiskies To Try Before You Die.’
