A whisky with character showcasing the expertise of the Nantou distillery in Taiwan. The sherry version, more fruity than its bourbon counterpart, will please whisky fans. Distilled in Scottish and Belgian copper pot stills, aged in sherry casks and neither chill filtered nor coloured. The nose is clean and complex – stewed fruit, dried fruit, dark chocolate. Goes perfectly with honey spiced pork ribs.
Nose: Juicy citrus, chestnut, a touch of Turkish delight, buttery malt.
Palate: Chocolatey at first, but once again orange peel and floral barley take the spotlight. Rum-soaked raisin and soft ginger heat.
Finish: Lingering oak spice and a touch of mince pie filling.
